Summary:
Meta's Edge & Network Services team is actively looking for passionate people to help us tackle the unique set of challenges and opportunities we face, while contributing to our company mission of connecting the world. Our team is the execution arm of the Meta network team and is responsible for the deployment and support of all production networks (Edge, Backbone, Optical, and Datacenter) as well as our content delivery network across the globe. Required Skills:
Network Engineer, Deployment & Support Responsibilities:
1. Participate in the design engineering and implementation of large-scale data center networks across multiple geographic locations 2. Research, develop & deploy numerous technologies and network topologies in order to evolve and scale our data centers and optimize deployments 3. Initiate and lead strategic initiatives driving efficiency, innovation, and standardization of our data centers 4. Work closely with cross-functional teams and external vendors to develop new features and influence the future of networking 5. Influence future iterations of data center and network designs to ensure seamless integration of new infrastructure 6. Actively participate in the New Product Introduction ( NPI ) process for network infrastructure 7. Partner with our software teams to develop and implement the tooling required to provision, manage, monitor and troubleshoot our networks 8. Work with network engineering, data center design, and data center connectivity teams to generate network infrastructure design packages for the deployment teams 9. Build and nurture business relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and vendors 10. Develop automation and tooling to drive consistency and efficiency in all aspects of network design, deployment, and operations 11. Perform site visits and work cross-functionally with construction, design architects, and contractors to validate cabling infrastructure and network builds according to Meta standards 12. Maintain technical reference, process, and training documentation 13. 25% to 40% of travel required based on project demand
