The Network Engineer (TS/SCI w/CI Poly Required) is a full-time, on-site role based in Suitland, MD. The individual in this role will design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructures to support mission-critical operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring and administering network devices, monitoring performance, and troubleshooting connectivity and security issues. The Network Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional technical teams, document network architectures and changes, and ensure compliance with DoD and federal security standards. Key Responsibilities Provides high-performance, highly available networking services to support business and mission needs. Responsible for engineering and operational assignments related to deployed solutions backed by Cisco and SolarWinds on multi-level IT systems. Provides O&M support for networking devices (switches, routers, firewalls, encryption devices, copper/fiber connectivity). Supports internal escalation tiers for advanced troubleshooting and rapid remediation of networking challenges. Maintains documentation for networking systems, subsystems, and components, including capacity and performance plans. Qualifications Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience. Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered. Cisco and SolarWinds required. Active TS/SCI with polygraph. Experience supporting DoD or federal government environments preferred. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
