Description:
The Level 3 Telecommunications Network Engineer shall possess the following capabilities: Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with customer appropriate polygraph).
Capabilities:
Facilitate the implementation of high-speed, scalable, fault-tolerant network topologies as applicable to WAN and LAN design Minimize network latency and maximize data throughput Validate new and existing dataflow and data formats Lead large efforts of dynamic requirements and scale Work with System engineers, customers, and cross organizational teams to refine requirements; Coordinate with appropriate dataflow organizations and end-customer recipients, follow-on data repositories and tasking organizations, and understand potential adverse impacts on system-wide dataflow Perform security testing and design evaluations Employ government standards to configure the interconnects between data centers, networks, and security boundaries Draft technical requirements, configuration management, and planning documentation Design, integrate, configure, deploy, test, and maintain numerous types of network devices, interfaces, and technologies to include VPN, VRF, VSS, BGP and OSPF routing or other routing protocols as required, and VLAN Optimize end-to-end system performance (e.g., capacity, margins, data quality, etc.) and dataflow management Configure and optimize the network to connect various front-end and back-end components.
Required Qualifications:
TS/SCI with Agency Appropriate Polygraph Twelve (12) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity are required. Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional network engineering experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree. IAT level II baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M is required.

Enterprise switching and campus design - VLANs, etc. Routing protocols Manage Software-Defined Networking (SDN)
CISCO Routers and Switches Troubleshooting Network Failures and Issues Salary Range:
$180,000.00 - $200,000.00 ( Annually ) Annual Compensation Figures listed for this position serve as a general guideline and are not a guarantee of compensation. Compensation will vary dependent upon factors including but not limited to: Government contract rates; annual hours worked; education; relevant prior work experience, knowledge, skills, and competencies; certifications, and geographic location.
