Job Description

Network Engineer, Senior

Additional Locations:
Annapolis Junction, Maryland, USANetwork Engineer, SeniorThe Opportunity:

A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable organizations to achieve their missions, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their current and evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That's why we need you, a network engineer who knows how to develop the exact network the DoD needs.

As a Satellite Communications Network Engineer on our team, you will help develop, modernize, and sustain secure and resilient network capabilities that support critical defense operations. You'll use your skills in network design, architecture, Layer 2/3 technologies, and system interoperability to improve reliability, availability, and performance across mission-focused environments. You will also contribute to engineering efforts including implementation planning, technical reviews, test activities, and upgrades supporting enterprise-wide modernization.

You'll apply your knowledge in routing and switching, network design and architecture, IP engineering, network transport layers, updating network equipment, and performance monitoring as you join our team of problem-solvers to help the DoD evolve and deploy new capabilities and technologies. Your knowledge of network protocols, equipment, emerging technology, and configurations will come in handy as you help optimize client operations and modernization initiatives. Using your experience in Cisco, Juniper, and other COTS hardware and network performance management, and your technical curiosity and knowledge of industry standards, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects and make an impact on national security missions.

Grow your career with us as we help the DoD field and sustain satellite communications capabilities to provide data and voice solutions to tactical and strategic users of worldwide network of SATCOM Gateways and Teleports.
