Job Description

Position Title:
Special Education School District seeking a Network Engineer candidate for onsite position. This is not a remote position. Serious applicants available for in person interview(s) only need apply. - Job Summary Under the direction of the Senior Network Engineer, the Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and securing the school district's network infrastructure. This position ensures reliable connectivity for students, teachers, administrators, and staff across all district facilities while supporting instructional technology and administrative systems. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three or more years of experience administering enterprise network infrastructure. Experience with Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar networking equipment.
Strong knowledge of:
TCP/IP Routing and switching VLANs DNS and DHCP Firewalls Wireless networking Network security VPN technologies IDS/IPS Network Access Control (NAC) Web security and content filtering Experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server and cloud-based services is preferred. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in clear, understandable language for nontechnical staff, administrators, and executive leadership. Excellent problem-solving skills. Strong customer service orientation and commitment to providing responsive technical support. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, vendors, and the public. Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively within a team. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with evolving networking technologies and industry best practices.
