$72,800-$90,000/year | Full-Time | Business Hours, 8am-5pm | Onsite Service Metal is looking for a driven and curious engineer who wants to make a real impact on warehouse operations. You'll work directly with senior leadership to improve how our warehouses operate, design smarter processes, solve real-world problems, and help to scale our operations for growth. You'll have the autonomy and project ownership to move quickly from idea to implementation and execution. This is a full-time, onsite position based at our Corporate Headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri, with up to 25% travel to Service Metal warehouse locations. What You'll Do Identify and lead initiatives that improve safety, accuracy, and productivity across our warehouse network Develop and standardize best practices across all warehouse locations to ensure consistency and scalability Help design and optimize warehouse layouts, expansions, and new facilities Collaborate with Operations, IT, and cross-functional teams to identify, test, and implement software and ERP improvements Analyze data to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, and improve overall warehouse performance and cost structure Oversee and coordinate warehouse improvement projects Promote a safety-first mindset in all process improvements and operational changes What You Bring Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams) Where You'll Work You'll be part of our operations team in our corporate headquarters, a modern workspace built for focus and collaboration: Sit-to-stand desks and sound-masked workspace Modern breakroom and chill zone with golf and bags Huddle rooms, collab spaces, and high-tech conference and training rooms Regular company training events and team lunches Nationwide team connected daily across our locations coast to coast Located in a business park with walking trails, green space, and nearby lunch spots Traveling to our warehouses to get a boots-on-the-ground evaluation is an essential part of this role.
