7 Durham, NC Job Details From $148,000 a year 6 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Technical user customer support Customer support Cross-functional collaboration Full Job Description Durham, North Carolina Job Summary Solution Validation Services (SVS) is an organization within Cisco Customer Experience (CX) focused on validating complex customer-specific networks and accelerating adoption of new technologies and solutions. As part of the SVS team, you will help drive Cisco CX growth by designing next generation solution validation labs and by validating these solutions for Enterprise and SP customers. You will also help inform customers about trending network technologies and drive accelerated adoption of new technologies and solutions. Key Responsibilities o You troubleshoot system, software, and networking problems o You love reproducing customer issues in a lab environment o You're passionate about contributing documentation to a create customer specific deliverables. o You can create escalation requests and submit product defect reports to Engineering o You enjoy the testing of patch releases and product updates. o You are comfortable leading complex technical discussions Skill Requirements You have achieved a Bachelors in Computer Science or Engineering or the equivalent in work experience o You have 2-3 years of customer support experience o You have excellent written and verbal communication skills. o You have strong people skills, the ability to collaborate effectively with customers and other internal teams is one of your strengths. o You have experience with Linux / UNIX command line tools / environment; Perl and/or bash shell scripting. o You have intermediate to advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networking, network protocol and packet analysis. o You're familiar with Snort or other intrusion detection system o You have some level of experience in the following list and in-depth expertise in at least one area: § Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Firewalls § Cisco Next Gen Firepower IPS (NGIPS) § Cisco Next Gen Firepower Firewall (NGFW) § Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) § Cisco FireAmp (Advanced Malware protection) § Cisco Firepower Management Center (FMC) § Cisco Security Manager (CSM) § Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) § Cisco Secure Integrated Software (IOS Firewalls), § SSL (Security Sockets Layer) and SSH (Secure Shell) § VPN and IPSEC protocols Other Requirements Desired Skills o Experience with MySql or another SQL database o Experience with Active Directory or other LDAP implementations o Experience with Snort / Python / Virtualization (Vmware, Azure, AWS etc, Docker,GIT) / Wireshark / Linux / Windows o Automation of monitoring for security, using tools like Prometheus, Splunk, DataDog, etc. o Cybersecurity-related certification(s), including CCSP, CISSP, CISM, CEH, etc. Maximum Salary (US): 148000 Minimum Salary (US): 78000 #body.unify div.unify-button-container .
