Linux Networking Technical Specialist

Art Sentry is a 25-year-old technology company whose systems are used by leading museums across the United States to help protect and monitor priceless works of art. We are hiring an Operations Specialist for a full-time, in-office role. This is a hands-on position where you'll work across technical support, hardware systems, and operations. The role requires someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to move quickly while maintaining accuracy. What You'll Do Respond to customer support requests and troubleshoot technical issues Test software releases and document results before deployment Configure and stage hardware systems for customer installations Manage shipping, receiving, and procurement with a high level of accuracy Track and document work across systems and processes Identify issues, take initiative, and ensure tasks are completed without delays What You'll Learn Real-world helpdesk support and troubleshooting workflows Server hardware configuration and deployment basics Software testing and release validation processes Exposure to networking and Linux environments How technology supports museums and cultural institutions What Success Looks Like You communicate clearly and follow issues through to full resolution You are highly detail-oriented—work is accurate the first time You learn quickly and take on increasing responsibility You take ownership and consistently follow through without reminders You act with urgency—prioritizing effectively and getting things done You proactively identify what needs to be done and move work forward What We're Looking For Minimum 2 years post-education experience with Linux experience Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Comfortable working with technology (IT, systems, or hardware experience is a plus) Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities at once Self-starter who does not wait for direction Reliable, accountable, and motivated to improve Nice to haves College degree Networking experience Linux experience Loves technology or art About Art Sentry Art Sentry provides video-based artwork object protection software products to cultural properties and other businesses.
