Up to $120,000 annually, based on experience Candidates must currently be located in Northeast Ohio. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join a growing IT infrastructure team supporting a complex, multi-location network environment. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, improving network performance, and taking ownership of critical infrastructure. You'll work across routing, switching, firewalls, wireless networking, VPNs, network security, and infrastructure projects while partnering with other IT professionals and vendors. What You'll Do Design, configure, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN network infrastructure across multiple locations. Configure and support routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks. Monitor network performance, availability, capacity, and reliability. Troubleshoot complex network outages, connectivity problems, and performance issues. Manage network upgrades, patches, firmware updates, and infrastructure improvements. Maintain and strengthen network security, including firewall policies and access controls. Support routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and related network services. Collaborate with internal IT teams and third-party vendors on infrastructure projects. Maintain accurate network diagrams, configurations, procedures, and technical documentation. Support disaster recovery and network resiliency initiatives. Provide Tier II/III technical support for escalated networking issues. Participate in an on-call rotation as needed. What We're Looking For 4+ years of Network Engineering, Network Administration, or similar infrastructure experience. Strong hands-on knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, and switching. Experience supporting enterprise-level network environments. Hands-on experience with technologies such as Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, Palo Alto, or comparable networking platforms. Experience configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure. Strong understanding of network security and cybersecurity best practices. Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network and connectivity issues. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate technical information clearly and maintain accurate documentation. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving IT environment. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred but not required for candidates with strong relevant experience. Additional Experience We'd Value You don't need to check every box, but experience in any of these areas is a plus: Microsoft Azure or AWS networking SD-WAN Wireless network infrastructure VoIP and unified communications Virtualization technologies Network monitoring and performance tools PowerShell or Python automation Network security and firewall administration Multi-site or distributed enterprise networks Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Network+, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or similar networking certifications are also valued.
