Warren, OH Cleveland-Cliffs, Inc. has an immediate opportunity for a Process Control Engineer at our Warren, OH, location. This role is critical to maintaining and improving the performance and reliability of our process control systems. The engineer will work with a wide range of industrial automation technologies, computer systems, and instrumentation to support steel manufacturing operations. Summary of Responsibilities System Support by maintaining and troubleshooting all aspects of process control systems, including hardware, software, and interfaces. Modify systems to accommodate new inputs or implement ideas for continuous improvement. Address issues that may impact production or system reliability. Maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading SQL Server databases Maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading virtual server environments (Vcenter, Hyper-V, etc.) Oversee real-time computer control and monitoring of coke plant processes. Maintain and upgrade computer hardware and software, including modernization of existing systems. Administer operating systems such as Windows, Apple iOS, and Cisco. Work with networking technologies, including Cisco and Palo Alto, high-speed data transmission, and specialty computer interfaces. Participate in project work, including planning, engineering design, hardware configuration, software development, testing, and system start-up. Stay informed of quality and reliability issues and work with vendors to address product and performance concerns. Remain current

Configure HMI screens using FactoryTalk View Site Edition and Machine Edition. Perform Data Analysis on production data using Power BI. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience and/or certification (CCNA, etc.). Familiarity with Windows, Android, and iOS operating systems. Basic understanding of computer networking and routing. Knowledge of process control systems, including SCADA, HMI, PLCs, drives, PID loop control, and control communication strategies. Manufacturing or steel industry experience. Preferred Qualifications At least 2 years of engineering experience in an industrial environment. Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Python, Java, FORTRAN, Visual Basic, and SQL. Demonstrated ability to create, modify, and troubleshoot complex control logic and advanced control applications. Experience with front-end and back-end web development (html, CSS, JavaScript and SQL Server databases). Applicants must be legally authorized to work full-time in the United States.
