We are seeking a Capacity Operations Engineer to support the planning, deployment, and optimization of access network infrastructure for an enterprise company onsite in Philadelphia, PA. This role works closely with engineering and cross-functional teams to help manage network capacity, support network element engineering activities, and contribute to troubleshooting, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically curious detail oriented who enjoys problem-solving, collaboration, and building expertise in network engineering and operations.
Responsibilities:
- Support access network capacity planning activities by helping evaluate demand, track utilization trends, and contribute to budget-informed engineering decisions.
- Assist with the design, testing, and implementation of network augmentation efforts, including participation in technical trials and deployment-related tasks across access technologies including CMTS, vCMTS, and PON/OLT environments.
- Help configure and maintain access network elements while following established engineering practices, documentation standards, and operational procedures.
- Participate in issue triage and reporting by gathering relevant data, identifying patterns, and escalating concerns to the appropriate engineering teams when needed.
- Work with cross-functional partners to coordinate updates related to network topology, engineering records, and operational readiness.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying process gaps, supporting better workflows, and sharing observations that improve team effectiveness.
- Use network data, internal tools, and available models to support analysis, validate changes, and improve visibility into capacity and performance conditions.
- Communicate status, findings, and technical concerns clearly with teammates and stakeholders to support timely decision-making and business continuity.
- Build knowledge of market topology, engineering dependencies, and support processes to strengthen operational execution over time.
