Onsite Automation Engineer Objective Design, develop, and maintain automated systems and processes in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Build and deploy automation systems from design through implementation Integrate IT systems Develop process control strategies and validate system performance Manage vendor and integrator relationships Maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation Diagnose and resolve system failures via root cause analysis Train end-users on automation systems Evaluate new technologies to improve automation capabilities Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field 7+ years of automation engineering in manufacturing Proficiency with Automation platforms (PLC, HMI, DCS, etc.) Programming skills in Python, Java, C++, or LabVIEW Experience with industrial and collaborative robotics Familiarity with cybersecurity principles for industrial environments Knowledge of industry safety standards and protocols Experience with Microsoft Office, Jira, Minitab, SolidWorks Preferences Master's degree in a related discipline Project management experience System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
