Job Summary We are looking for an Electrical / Automation Engineer to design, build, and support PLC-based control systems for custom industrial and process-focused equipment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning projects end-to-end, from initial design through panel build, commissioning, and troubleshooting. What you'll do Program PLCs and related control systems; support HMI/controls configuration as needed. Less on plc programming side, more need for Electrical background as stated below. Design electrical/control systems including control panels, wiring diagrams, and schematics Create and maintain P&IDs; support instrumentation selection/specification Work with vendors to source equipment and ensure technical requirements are met Ensure designs and installations align with NEC requirements, including hazardous-location considerations when applicable Support panel build/wiring activities and field commissioning Troubleshoot controls/electrical issues during startup and through project execution Assist with proposal support, purchasing coordination, and project expediting Interface with customers and contractors to drive successful implementation What we're looking for Required BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a closely related discipline (electro-mechanical acceptable depending on background) 3+ years of experience in industrial automation and/or process/chemical facility design (more experience welcomed) Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a project-based environment Willingness to travel up to ~10% to customer sites Preferred Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI experience LabVIEW and data acquisition (DAQ) exposure AutoCAD proficiency for electrical drawings PE license (or path toward licensure) What's offered Strong overall compensation package Medical/dental/vision options Bonus opportunity Retirement plan (employer-funded component)
