BizTek People is in search for an experienced Credentialing Coordinator for our client in Portland, OR!
Work Arrangement:
Remote (local candidates only)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00
PM Assignment Duration:
4 months
Start Date:
October 12th Position Summary The Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of provider credentialing, re-credentialing, and privileging processes for medical professionals delivering patient care. This role ensures providers meet regulatory, legal, and payer requirements and maintains accurate, up-to-date credentialing records across internal and external systems. Key Responsibilities Review provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications; track progress and follow up as needed to ensure timely completion Compile, maintain, and audit accurate provider data within credentialing databases and online systems Maintain current documentation for all providers, including state licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage, and other required credentials Monitor and track license, certification, DEA, and professional liability expiration dates to ensure timely renewals Audit health plan directories to ensure accurate provider information and support payer and regulatory audits Generate correspondence, reports, and tracking documentation using credentialing software and database systems Perform routine assignments in accordance with established guidelines, regulatory requirements, and internal policies Required Qualifications Education & Experience (one of the following): High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 3 years of medical staff credentialing experience in a healthcare or insurance provider setting Associate's Degree and 3 years of experience performing data collection or data analysis using complex database systems Demonstrated experience working with credentialing or database software systems Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards, including legal, state, TJC, and NCQA requirements Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage deadlines independently Preferred Qualifications Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) #CredentialingCoordinator, #MedicalCredentialing, #ProviderCredentialing, #HealthcareCompliance, #NCQA, #TJC, #DEACompliance, #MedicalStaffServices, #HealthcareAdministration, #CredentialingSpecialist, #RemoteHealthcareJobs, #HealthcareOperations, #ProviderEnrollment, #RegulatoryCompliance, #
CPCS Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
