Semiconductor / SSD / Storage Technology Job Description We are seeking a DevOps / CI/CD Automation Engineer to support software infrastructure, CI/CD development, test automation, and deployment activities for SSD product security infrastructure . The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience designing, developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting CI/CD infrastructure and automation systems . This role is approximately 70% CI/CD focused and requires strong Linux knowledge, scripting/programming experience, and the ability to debug complex system, network, and infrastructure issues. The engineer will work closely with engineering teams across Longmont, India, and Shanghai and will support an environment that includes both open-source and internally developed tools. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure supporting SSD product engineering and security infrastructure. Develop and enhance automation solutions for software build, integration, testing, deployment, and release processes . Perform requirements gathering and analysis to understand software functionality, system requirements, hardware/software interfaces, and overall software characteristics. Use Python, scripting, and other programming languages to develop automation and make enhancements to existing tools and code. Troubleshoot and resolve CI/CD pipeline failures, build issues, deployment problems, infrastructure issues, system issues, and network-related problems . Analyze logs, identify root causes, and implement sustainable fixes rather than repeatedly poking the same broken pipeline with a stick. Support software testing, deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities. Modify existing automation/code to accommodate scope changes, new requirements, and engineering enhancements. Apply software development best practices including: Coding standards Code reviews Source control Build processes Automated testing Release and deployment practices Work with open-source and internally developed tools and adapt to evolving CI/CD infrastructure. Collaborate with distributed engineering teams across Longmont, India, and Shanghai . Support ongoing engineering and business continuity requirements for SSD product security infrastructure. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD, software development, infrastructure automation, or a related engineering field. Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD development and infrastructure . Experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting end-to-end CI/CD pipelines . Strong Linux/Unix knowledge and troubleshooting experience. Strong experience with Python or scripting languages . Ability to understand existing Python/scripts and make small to moderate enhancements and fixes . Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across: CI/CD pipelines Build systems Software environments Linux systems Network/connectivity issues Infrastructure Experience with source control, build processes, automated testing, and software deployment . Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and CI/CD practices. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in the semiconductor, SSD, storage, firmware, or hardware/software engineering industry. Experience supporting SSD product infrastructure or firmware-related environments . Familiarity with firmware validation or SSD validation environments. Experience working with both open-source and internally developed tools . Experience working with globally distributed engineering teams.
Note:
Firmware/SSD experience is a plus. The candidate does not need to perform firmware development or firmware validation .
