Job Description

The Junior Network Analyst will support our client's day-to-day operations and maintenance of their Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) network infrastructure. This dynamic role would include a mix of remote work and in-person site visits to inspect and maintain Nokia routers, switches, and networking equipment across the Greater Chicago area. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, assisting with network monitoring, change requests, incident response, and hardware maintenance. While experience with Nokia equipment is not required, a strong foundation in network engineering and an eagerness to learn will set you up for success. Qualifications:
1-3 yrs. of experience with networking protocols or troubleshooting network equipment. Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering (or similar field). Hands-on experience with troubleshooting, configuring, and monitoring routers and switches. Excellent analytical, conceptual, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Must be willing to work independently and as part of a team. Must have reliable transportation to dispatch to network sites as needed across the Greater Chicago Area (mileage reimbursement provided). CCNA or Network+ Certification is a plus! Familiarity with Nokia is a plus!
Responsibilities:
Support and maintain Nokia MPLS technology, routers, and switches. Travel to local sites to perform hands-on equipment checks and maintenance. Perform remote network monitoring, investigate alarms, and respond to change requests. Participate in planning and documenting network infrastructure and procedures. Support network-related projects such as network modernizations, site upgrades, or network refreshes. Triage high-level network-related issues or outages to Senior Engineers. Pay:
$28.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
