Dell Products L.P. has an opening for a Lab Support Senior Engineer, Round Rock, TX. Can work remotely and up to 10% occasional domestic travel.
Duties:
Provides advanced technical support to clients and internal personnel on complex integration issues. Responsible for establishing project plans, business cases, input to budgets, schedules and documentation of work results. Establishes network priorities as they relate to achievement of short and long-term business goals and objectives. Responsible for complex testing and analysis of network facilities. Provide general architectural level client/server and SAN/storage array support for the configuration and maintenance of the engineering computer lab systems for the lab computing environment. Responsible for ensuring proper deployment of fiber-channel storage arrays, hosts, switches, software, and storage networking infrastructure. Consistently provides guidance and project direction to less-experienced staff.
Requirements:
Masters degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Energy Management, or related field and 3 years of experience as a Network Engineer or related occupation. Alternatively, a Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Energy Management, or related field and 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer or related occupation.
Experience must include:
network products and protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, DNS, DHCP, Layer 2, and Layer 3; Cisco Nexus and Arista; Networking services and protocols: iSCSI, PXE, and IPAM; troubleshooting; Cloud computing; IPv6; Network Design; networking switching and routing; and open system interconnection reference model (OSI) and TCP/IP protocols.
