Job Description
Network Engineer Piper Companies is seeking a Network Engineer to join a growing industrial technology organization with a strong focus on innovation, engineering, and strategic growth. This role will support enterprise network infrastructure across multiple locations while helping integrate newly acquired businesses and modernize existing environments. This is a hybrid position based in Washington, D.C. Responsibilities for the
Network Engineer Include:
- Lead network integration efforts for newly acquired organizations, evaluating existing infrastructure and developing migration plans.
- Design, maintain, and optimize LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, VPN, and network security environments.
- Partner with managed service providers and technology vendors to support firewalls, intrusion prevention, and other network security technologies.
- Support connectivity between on-premises infrastructure, Active Directory, and cloud environments.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and perform root cause analysis to improve reliability and security.
- Maintain network diagrams, technical documentation, SOPs, and configuration standards.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity teams on enterprise technology initiatives.
- Support network roadmaps, capacity planning, and infrastructure improvement projects.
Network Engineer Include:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise network environments.
- Experience with network migrations, acquisitions, or infrastructure integration projects.
- Strong knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, wireless, and network security.
- Experience with VMware or Hyper-V and familiarity with hybrid cloud networking.
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, project management, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Ability to travel up to 50% as needed.
Network Engineer Includes:
Salary:
$130,000 - $150,000 depending on experienceComprehensive Benefits:
