We are looking for a Network Engineer to support and strengthen the core infrastructure. This position will focus on building, administering, and securing network and server environments while ensuring reliable connectivity. The role combines hands-on network operations, cybersecurity oversight, vendor coordination, and end-user support in a primarily on-site setting with hybrid flexibility.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily performance, stability, and upkeep of local and wide area network environments across the organization.
- Configure, deploy, and support core infrastructure equipment such as servers, routers, switches, and firewall platforms.
- Administer server operating systems and maintain software hosted on server environments to ensure dependable performance.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for network architecture, wireless services, VPN connectivity, and support procedures.
- Partner with internet service providers and external vendors to sustain reliable connectivity and resolve service-related issues.
- Lead cybersecurity efforts by implementing protective controls, monitoring threats, managing access safeguards, and strengthening data security practices.
- Conduct security reviews and risk assessments, then recommend and apply improvements to reduce exposure to vulnerabilities.
- Create and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans, serving as a key technical resource during recovery activities.
- Provide troubleshooting assistance for users and internal technical staff on network-connected systems, applications, and hardware.
- Research emerging technologies and evaluate infrastructure solutions that support academic and administrative operations.
