Up to $38.00/hr BOE Active Public Trust Clearance Required We are seeking a Network Engineer to support our client's LAN and Wi-Fi infrastructure. This individual will work independently diagnosing and resolving complex network issues while contributing to documentation, standards, and team development. This is a hybrid position based in Eagan, MN, with the expectation of 4 days per week onsite. The hybrid schedule is subject to change based on client needs. Schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CT. Occasional on-call rotation and after-hours work required Responsibilities include, but not limited to:- Independently diagnose and resolve complex network incidents impacting performance, stability, or security
- Perform advanced troubleshooting across routers, switches, firewalls, WAN links, VPNs, SD-WAN infrastructures, and Wi-Fi devices
- Analyze packet captures, logs, and telemetry data to identify and document root causes
- Manage escalations for chronic or recurring network issues and conduct deep-dive investigations into performance degradation, intermittent connectivity, latency, and jitter
- Support high-availability environments, including failover, redundancy, and disaster recovery planning
- Develop and maintain network documentation, standards, and runbooks
- Perform root-cause analysis and produce technical reports on major incidents
- Test and validate new network technologies and configurations prior to production rollout
- Resolve and document trouble tickets through ServiceNow, including troubleshooting steps and solutions for future reference
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to Tier 1 and other staff
- Manage multiple concurrent tasks, prioritize workload effectively, and meet deadlines
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of IT/networking experience; additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on network support experience in a LAN/Wi-Fi environment
- Proven experience with wireless networking solutions such as Cisco Meraki, HPE Aruba, Juniper Mist, or Fortinet
- Proficiency in LAN protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, VLANs, Spanning Tree Protocol)
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across OSI Layers 1-7
- Understanding of LAN security standards and best practices
- Experience with ServiceNow or comparable ticketing systems

Position of Public Trust:
U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, 5 years of U.S. residency, and no more than 6 months of international travel in the past 5 years (excluding U.S.-based work or Military Service travel)Ppreferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SD-WAN platforms and VPN technologies
- Familiarity with network monitoring and telemetry tools
- An Associate employee is responsible for assisting more senior positions and/or performing functional duties under the oversight of more senior positions.
Preferred Certifications:
- Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or other applicable networking

- A minimum of 3-7 years relevant experience.
