Job Description
Job Description Our client is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join their team for a CVE Mitigation project. With a deep service provider background to support routing infrastructure, network security operations, and ongoing platform engineering efforts. The ideal candidate brings hands-on expertise across Cisco IOS-XR, ASR and Nexus platforms, and a working knowledge of automation and scripting. You will design, configure, and troubleshoot routing protocols (OSPF, IS-IS, BGP) across service provider infrastructure and operate and maintain Cisco ASR and Nexus platforms running IOS-XR. You will support MPLS and related transport services and monitor and respond to CVEs affecting network infrastructure; implement mitigations in a timely manner. You will contribute to automation initiatives using Python or similar scripting tools and collaborate with engineering, NOC, and security teams on incidents and planned changes. - 5+ years working with Cisco IOS-XR
- Service Provider networking experience
- 5+ years of experience in routing and switching
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with OSPF, IS-IS, and BGP
- Hands-on experience with Cisco ASR and Nexus platforms
- 4+ years of MPLS design and operational experience
- 5+ years of experience in service provider network environments
- 5+ years of network security experience, including CVE analysis and mitigation
- Some sort of experience with network automation (python or similar)
- CCNP certification (any track)
- Familiarity with telemetry, SNMP, or model-driven monitoring pipelines
