Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Network Technician and become a vital player in maintaining and enhancing our organization's IT infrastructure. As a Network Technician, you will be instrumental in supporting network operations, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing innovative solutions that drive operational excellence. Manage network security protocols including firewall configurations, Cisco ASA setups, Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine), PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), and IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems) to safeguard organizational data. Support data center operations by managing SAN (Storage Area Network), VMware vSphere environments, high availability systems, and load balancing solutions to optimize performance and uptime. Monitor network health using tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, and Splunk; perform vulnerability assessments; and conduct regular network security audits to identify and mitigate risks. Troubleshoot complex network issues involving routing protocols such as
OSPF, BGP, EIGRP
; IPsec VPNs; DNS; DHCP; TCP/IP; and other network protocols to ensure continuous service delivery. Assist in network architecture design and implementation for new installations or upgrades, including Cisco routers, Juniper devices, Meraki appliances, and telecommunication systems. Automate routine tasks using scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Ansible to improve efficiency in system administration and network management. Proven experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure with a focus on computer networking and network security. Hands-on knowledge of Cisco IOS/ASA devices, Meraki cloud-managed networks, Juniper equipment, and open-source operating systems such as Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu, open
SUSE, BSD
variants, Solaris, and macOS. Familiarity with virtualization platforms like VMware vSphere or Citrix; cloud security practices involving AWS or Azure; and containerization concepts. Strong understanding of routing protocols including
OSPF, BGP
; network protocols such as TCP/IP; encryption methods; and high availability configurations. Experience with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds or PRTG; vulnerability assessment techniques; system administration across Windows Server environments; LDAP/Active Directory integration; and
SFTP/FTP/HTTPS
secure file transfer methods. Knowledge of DevOps practices including scripting for automation; familiarity with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle); Agile methodologies; and network management best practices aligned with ITIL standards. Educational background in computer science or related fields is preferred along with certifications such as
CCNA/CCNP
