Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced SailPoint IIQ Engineer to support a Statement of Work (SOW) initiative focused on SailPoint IdentityIQ development for Segregation of Duties (SOD) policy implementation across hundreds of applications. This role is ideal for a seasoned SailPoint developer with strong hands-on expertise in IdentityIQ workflows, plugins, rules, provisioning, approvals, and governance automation. The engineer will be responsible for designing, building, troubleshooting, and deploying scalable IAM solutions in a complex, highly regulated environment. The role may sit in Pittsburgh, PA, Lake Mary, FL, or New York City and requires 4 days onsite per week with standard hours of 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Eastern.
Key Responsibilities:
SailPoint IIQ Development:
Design, build, and enhance SailPoint IdentityIQ solutions, including workflows, plugins, rules, custom extensions, and lifecycle-based access governance capabilities
Workflow & Governance Automation:
Implement workflows for provisioning, approvals, certifications, remediation, governance, and other identity lifecycle processes
Custom Rule & Plugin Development:
Build custom SailPoint rules using BeanShell and Java, and develop plugin-based functionality to support automation and validation use cases
SOD Policy Implementation:
Implement advanced and entitlement-based Segregation of Duties (SOD) policies and automation supporting policy creation, evaluation, violation handling, lookback analysis, and remediation
Configuration & Integration:
Configure IdentityIQ applications, integrations, lifecycle events, access request processes, and governance functionality across enterprise systems
Audit & Reporting Support:
Configure auditing capabilities and develop custom audit reports, dashboards, and SQL-based reporting solutions for reconciliation, operational visibility, and troubleshooting
Troubleshooting & Production Support:
Diagnose and resolve workflow, provisioning, integration, performance, and production support issues within the SailPoint environment
Development Standards & Deployment:
Follow Git and SSB-based development/deployment practices, participate in code reviews, testing, release support, and deployment packaging
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer:
Prepare technical design documentation, operational runbooks, implementation materials, and knowledge transfer artifacts
Qualifications:
5+ years of hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ 8.x or later development Strong experience with workflows, rules, plugins, lifecycle events, provisioning, approvals, and access governance in SailPoint IIQ Proven ability to develop using Java, BeanShell, XML, and SailPoint IdentityIQ APIs Strong experience implementing and supporting complex SOD policies and related automation Knowledge of SailPoint auditing, audit data structures, and custom report/dashboard development Strong SQL skills with experience in reporting, reconciliation, and database troubleshooting Experience using Git and working within structured development/deployment processes Ability to troubleshoot SailPoint integrations, workflows, and production support issues independently Strong understanding of identity lifecycle management and access governance concepts Experience in financial services or other highly regulated, large-scale environments Strong communication, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills
Preferred Experience:
Experience with REST and SOAP integrations Familiarity with certifications, role management, and entitlement governance Experience with CI/CD and release management processes Experience building custom plugin pages or automation to support rule creation and validation SailPoint certifications
