Software Engineer (Storage) at BairesDev As a Software Engineer specializing in Storage, you will architect and maintain high-performance distributed storage systems. You will serve as a key link between low-level system engineering and scalable data management, ensuring that foundational storage layers are resilient, consistent, and capable of handling massive volumes of data. What You'll Do Design and implement scalable distributed storage solutions using systems languages like C+, Go, or Rust. Architect object and file storage systems to ensure high availability and efficient data retrieval at petabyte scale. Optimize data durability and consistency models to maintain integrity across distributed environments. Develop and manage robust replication strategies to safeguard data against hardware failures and network partitions. Collaborate with infrastructure teams to integrate block storage architectures into the broader cloud-native ecosystem. Enhance system performance by profiling and tuning storage engine internals for maximum throughput. What We Are Looking For 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a focus on storage systems. Proven expertise in developing distributed storage solutions using C/C+, Go, or Rust. Hands-on experience with distributed file systems and object stores like Ceph or MinIO. Deep understanding of data durability, consistency models, and replication strategies.
