Specialist Scheduling, Ready for Surgery

The Scheduling Specialist is responsible for the scheduling of patients according to the needs of the physician's offices, patients, and the allowable time frame of the Center. This individual must obtain all appropriate information and enter it into the computer. This individual maintains current knowledge of CPT coding to assist physicians' offices as well as the Center's billing efforts. This individual must be knowledgeable and aware of physician block times, staffing, as well as conflicting equipment needs. This individual should market and promote the Center. This individual maintains professional and effective working relationships with all members of the health care team. This individual can demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to the job.

Job Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent required Must be very organized with a high level of accountability. Must have excellent customer service skills and qualified computer skills. Demonstrates initiative and maturity, with good interpersonal /telephone skills. Can set priorities, maintain confidentiality, work with all departments, be trustworthy, discrete and cooperative.
