Quanta Nashville (QMN) was established in 2003 in LaVergne, TN, with 20 employees in one building. QMN currently occupies nine (9) facilities in the Antioch/LaVergne area with over 3000 employees...and GROWING! We are currently seeking candidates for the following position!
Position Summary:
Responsible for developing and supporting software tools that enhance automation system performance, improve uptime, and reduce engineering escalations. This role bridges operations and engineering teams by deploying scalable solutions that integrate data analytics, machine learning, and software automation into production environments.
Essential Functions:
Design and maintain Python-based software tools for diagnostics and troubleshooting. Develop and deploy automation interfaces including integration with AI/ML models and APIs. Build dashboards that track machine performance, quality metrics, and downtime analysis. Lead initiatives that automate technician workflows and reduce engineering dependency. Support root cause analysis using structured data and contribute to corrective action planning. Document tools, code, processes, and provide technical handoffs to engineering. Mentor Software and Controls Engineers on TM Flow data management and best practices. Assist in scalable deployment of software tools across production lines/sites. Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or currently pursuing preferred. Minimum of 2 years' experience in automation or manufacturing environments. Strong proficiency in Python and industrial data integration (SQL, REST APIs). Experience with
SCADA/HMI
systems and data visualization tools (Power BI, Grafana).
Other Skills and Abilities:
This is a
FULLY ONSITE
position; must be able to report onsite daily. Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment with multiple languages spoken. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Ability to read, write, and speak English; bilingual in Spanish/Mandarin preferred Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Detail oriented and highly organized. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Proficient in documentation and technical reporting. Ability to present technical concepts clearly to cross-functional teams. Effective interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Close vision required and ability to distinguish between colors. Ability to stoop, bend, twist, and perform repetitive tasks as part of repair work. Prolonged periods of standing on concrete floors and moving about production and warehouse areas. Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled environments occasionally.
