Job Description
Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Network Engineer, Site Operations - Permian through September 23, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time. Overview The Network Engineer provides design, implementation, and operational support for network infrastructure, ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performing connectivity for digital platforms and operational technologies. This role supports safe and efficient business operations by delivering network solutions aligned with industry best practices, cybersecurity requirements, and company standards. The Network Engineer will proactively troubleshoot issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing technology initiatives. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: Design, implement, and maintain communication solutions that address business needs and provide value across a variety of business functions. Participate in the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of industrial network infrastructure. Gather requirements and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and engineer network infrastructure. Create technical design documentation, including High-Level Designs, Low-Level Designs, network diagrams, and implementation and testing plans. Provide comprehensive Tier 3 support to operational teams, including coordinating with vendors and service providers. Collaborate with global peers across network design, operations, and other support teams to resolve complex escalated issues and implement changes. Implement and maintain processes, procedures, and associated plans for network infrastructure, including administration, usage, and disaster recovery. Use ticketing and change management systems to track incidents and changes. Participate in Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery Planning events and exercises as part of the team supporting the overall process control environment. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, diagrams, and training materials for use by the team. Perform field work and occasional travel based on business needs. Provide occasional overtime support to meet deadlines or support business activities.
