Job Description
Akkodis is seeking a Vmware NSX Security Engineer for a Contract with a client in Spring, TX. The ideal candidate is Responsible for designing and enforcing micro-segmentation and distributed firewall policies while managing NSX network virtualization, routing, and security infrastructure across hybrid cloud environments.

Rate Range:
$64/Hour to $68/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Vmware NSX Security Engineer Job Responsibilities include: Design, implement, and manage VMware NSX-T network virtualization and security solutions across enterprise and hybrid cloud environments. Configure and maintain distributed firewalls (DFW), micro-segmentation policies, and zero-trust security controls to protect critical workloads. Deploy and administer logical switching, Tier-0/Tier-1 routing, VPNs, load balancers, and network overlay technologies using NSX. Perform NSX lifecycle management activities including upgrades, patching, scaling, and maintenance of NSX Managers, Edge Nodes, and Transport Nodes. Automate infrastructure provisioning and security policy deployment using PowerShell, Python, Terraform, and NSX APIs. Monitor network health, analyze security events and logs, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to support incident response and operational excellence.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field. 5+ years of experience in network engineering, infrastructure security, or VMware administration, with at least 3+ years of hands-on VMware NSX-T experience. Strong expertise in VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, NSX-T, and network virtualization technologies. Advanced knowledge of networking protocols including BGP, OSPF, VXLAN/Geneve, VLANs, TCP/IP, and enterprise firewall/security concepts. If you are interested in this role, then please clickAPPLY NOW.
