Job#: 3054379 Sr.

Principal Engineer Location:

Remote Role OverviewWe are seeking a Sr. Principal Network Engineer to act as a dedicated Resident Engineer for a strategic enterprise customer. This role requires expertise in data center networking, Juniper technologies, network architecture, automation, and operational support. The successful candidate will serve as the primary technical advisor, providing advanced troubleshooting, design guidance, and engineering leadership within the customer's environment. Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the subject matter expert for data center networking solutions and Juniper technologies.



Provide technical leadership and engineering expertise across complex networking environments.



Contribute to cross-functional engineering initiatives and strategic technology projects.



Design, evaluate, and optimize data center network architectures.



Advise customers on networking best practices for scalability, resiliency, and performance.



Serve as the primary technical resource for production support and break/fix activities.



Troubleshoot complex routing, switching, and infrastructure issues.



Develop automation solutions and scripting tools to improve operational efficiency.

Required QualificationsEducation:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field is required. Equivalent professional experience may be considered.

Experience:

10+ years of experience in enterprise networking, data center networking, and network architecture is required. Extensive hands-on experience with Juniper networking platforms (QFX, PTX, MX, EX Series) is necessary, along with a background in supporting large-scale production environments.

Technical Skills:

Expertise is required in Junos and Junos EVO operating systems, Data Center Networking, Routing & Switching, Network Architecture & Design, and Python Scripting & Automation.

Certifications:

An expert-level networking certification, such as JNCIE (Juniper Networks Certified Internet Expert) or CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert), is required. Preferred QualificationsProficiency with DevOps methodologies.



Knowledge of cloud architectures and distributed systems.



Experience with security-first design principles.



Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.



Ability to present technical architectures to executive stakeholders.



Work EnvironmentThis is a remote, customer-facing Resident Engineer position. Up to 10% travel may be required for customer engagements and onsite support.
