Permanent, full-time The role A growing managed IT services provider is hiring a Network & Systems Engineer to design, build and support network infrastructure for a varied client base. You'll lead installs and upgrades, own projects end to end, and act as the go-between for clients and internal technical teams. You'll also help bring junior engineers up to speed. What you'll do Design, configure, deploy and maintain LAN, WAN and wireless networks, including routers, switches, servers, endpoints, printers, cabling and internet circuits Handle scheduled after-hours maintenance and respond to urgent outages when needed Manage user accounts, directories, permissions and network security settings Troubleshoot connectivity across devices, switches, wireless and shared resources Keep network hardware, software, security and backup practices in line with company policy Write and maintain clear documentation for network processes and admin tasks Test and evaluate new hardware and software, and stay current on networking trends Help shape standards for network, device and data security Coach less experienced teammates and flag process improvements with practical fixes Communicate clearly with end users, clients and colleagues What you'll bring 2 to 4 years' hands-on experience installing and supporting networking and communications equipment Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience Strong Windows Server administration skills Solid troubleshooting across a range of operating systems and network setups Ability to juggle multiple projects, prioritise work and assess client hardware/software needs Clear written and verbal communication, comfortable with managers and outside parties Works well independently and in a team Nice to have VoIP and advanced wireless experience VMware, Hyper-V or VDI experience Cisco, Microsoft or similar certifications Worth knowing Role is physically active: standing, walking, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs Pre-employment drug screening applies
