Job Description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a contract position with a Major Financial Institution located in McLean, VA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role focuses on the daily operations, administration, and management of a large-scale global network environment that supports mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate will befortable adopting new technologies and implementing solutions using automation, observability, and security principles.

Responsibilities:

Operate, administer, and manage day to day network operations of a large scale global mixed media network environment

Monitor the data network for performance degradation, connectivity issues, system events and alerts

Update and manage tickets through resolution with vendors and internal support systems

Create and implement data network changes

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar field
• At least 2 years of experience with software engineering, DevOps or related
• Ability to befortable adopting new technologies
• Comfort implementing solutions using automation, observability, and security principals
• Ability to contribute meaningfully to agile ceremonies, lead demos and presentations
• A security-first attitude
• Pay range: $48.46 - $56.46 per hour
