None •The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop) Engineer to support the design, configuration, and maintenance of a large, virtual desktop environment. This role will be the SME in troubleshooting all related performance issues across the organization. Additionally, the position will require an individual experienced in system design and integration and process automation and improvement. Must also be well versed in Network, storage, Azure AD and Intune. We are looking for an individual who has a proven track record designing, implementing and maintaining VDI in a large enterprise. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills, who exceeds as an individual, as well as excels among peers in a team environment. The individual should possess a passion for operational excellence and a high level of interpersonal and soft skills.Responsibilities:
- In addition to architecting and designing, the VDI Engineer will provide
TIER 3/4
support to system administrators in order to resolve VDI issues.- Provide guidance on optimization of desktops for platform interoperability and act as liaison between Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies.
- Offers endpoint support on issues and trouble resolution tasks on Virtual Desktop related tasks.
- Maintains an Advanced knowledge relative to administration, engineering, and implementation of virtual desktop infrastructure-related technologies.
- Operate across multiple and complex production environments with multiple stakeholders.
- Applies extensive technical expertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines.
- Conducts trade studies and makes recommendations on solutions and "make buy" decisions.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance
- Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry On Duty (EOD)
- Master's degree + 7 years' experience OR 16 years of experience
- Experience in Microsoft Azure, Azure Networking, Storage and Virtual Desktops
- Experience managing and administering Windows Servers
- Experience with Azure AD, Intune, FSLogix
- Experience in VDI profile management
- Endpoint protection, policy management and application of STIGs
- AVD integration with Office 365 services
- Desktop Software provisioning and Support Services
- Collaborate and work well in a team environment.
Desired:
- Some experience (1+ years') with any or all of these products or technologies: MS SQL, Puppet, Chef, Qualys, SCCM, Intune, MDM solutions (again, nice to have, not required)
- Some experience (1+ years') setup and integration with
IIS, SQL
Server- Some experience (2+ years') with Azure Security Tools (e.g. Sentinel)
