Remote Job Description
The Engr III Spec-Interconnect is responsible for providing technical guidance, project management, and execution for transport network projects. These projects focus on the management of NNI and Access leaf interconnect nationally. The candidate will be responsible for development and execution of technical plans for adding addition NNI capacity, monitoring access leaf port usage, cutting purchase orders, and creating / managing associated projects.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience required.
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the cellular/telecommunications industry in a Transport engineering role.
Experience designing, maintaining and documenting network diagrams and layouts
Understanding of various wireless network technologies including switching, RF, transport and data
Familiar with the EBH reporting and SevOne tools
Experience managing capacity on EBH networks
Demonstrated expert knowledge and proven experience with the full suite of Google suite of productivity tools
Ability to work with minimal supervision and make sound technical judgments in a demanding environment.
Understanding of operational concepts of various business groups including Engineering, Network Assurance, HQ and Vendors
Ability to work on cross-functional teams taking into consideration the goal of the various internal customers
Experience managing 3rd party vendor relationships and/or resources
Strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work with others without conflict and achieve goals Knowledge of the following:
o EBH Network Architecture
o Interconnection agreements
o Ethernet backhaul design
o Fiber testing and troubleshooting experience
o CND database experience.
o Capacity and forecasting experience in transport networks
