Having expertise in fineblanking, stamping, grinding and high-speed stamping, MPI supports and supplies the automotive, agriculture, medical and industrial markets. Our vision is to be the leader in metal forming products, out performing our competitors in quality and lead the market in product development. We are seeking an energetic and highly motivated Controls Engineer with heavy experience with CNC - for our Deerfield, WI location. The Automation Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of PLC of our production machines. The Automation Engineer will focus primarily on Rockwell Automation and Siemens platforms. This position works cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams. Responsibilities include : Serve as a senior electrical resource for difficult troubleshooting, root-cause investigation, and resolution of controls issues on the production floor. Review electrical schematics, panel designs, controls documentation, and code for safety, accuracy, maintainability, and compliance with project requirements. Improve programming standards, reusable code, system architecture, version control, documentation, and commissioning practices across the Controls team. Provide electrical guidance and mentorship to millwrights and mechanical maintenance staff. Maintain, and troubleshoot PLC programs using Rockwell and Siemens Automation Troubleshoot and resolve automation system issues in a timely manner to minimize production downtime. Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams.
