Job Description

Overview OFFSITE was founded in 2001, has a 24-year operating history and is privately held. The company owns and operates a five-acre data center campus. The NOC Engineer supports availability, performance, security, and reliability of OFFSITE's data center and managed-services environments. This position will primarily support a senior team member with Veeam-related responsibilities, including restores, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting. As part of an MSP environment, the role will also provide exposure to a broad range of technologies and customer environments. When not working on Veeam-related tasks, you will assist with other technical responsibilities such as server troubleshooting, Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration, system updates, and general customer support. The ideal candidate is curious, dependable, customer-focused, and comfortable learning in a 24/7 data center environment. Experience with Veeam and Microsoft Hyper-V is strongly preferred, especially in environments serving multiple tenants.

PM Responsibilities:
Monitor and support Veeam Backup & Replication jobs, backup repositories, replication, alerts, and restore requests; assist with testing and documenting recoverability Assist with the administration and support of Hyper-V hosts, clusters, virtual machines, virtual networking, and shared storage in a multi-tenant environment Monitor infrastructure, networks, servers, backups, applications, and environmental alerts using NOC monitoring and ticketing systems Respond to incidents and service requests by performing initial troubleshooting, resolving issues when possible, and escalating appropriately based on established procedures and service-level requirements. Perform routine maintenance, patching, health checks, access reviews, and approved changes using established change-management procedures Support network connectivity and troubleshoot TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, switching, VPN, firewall, DNS, and cabling issues within the scope of the role Provide remote hands support for customers, including equipment inspections, cable tracing and documentation, hardware component replacement, rack installation and maintenance, and coordination with customers, vendors, and third-party service providers Create and maintain accurate tickets, incident notes, diagrams and knowledgebase articles. Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, teammates, vendors, and leadership throughout incidents and service requests Participating in an on-call rotation Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Three years of relevant IT support or infrastructure experience Associate or bachelor's degree in a related technical field, or equivalent education and experience Foundational understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking principles, including switching, VLANs, TCP/IP, subnetting, and routing Strong troubleshooting skills, appropriate escalation, and the ability to remain calm under pressure Strong written documentation, customer service, teamwork, time management, and communication skills Ability to work onsite in Kenosha across from beautiful
Lake Michigan Preferred Qualifications:
Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE), VMCE+, or another advanced Veeam certification; candidates actively working toward certification are also encouraged to apply Hands-on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication, Veeam ONE, backup repositories, replication, failover, or recovery testing Experience in a data center, managed service provider, cloud hosting, colocation, or other customer-facing technology environment Exposure to SAN/NAS storage, Microsoft 365 or Azure, PowerShell, firewalls, Cisco or Extreme networking, endpoint tools, and monitoring platforms Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Server+, Security+, Cisco CCNA, etc. Monitor network systems, servers, and hardware using help desk systems and network management tools to identify issues proactively. Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity problems across various platforms including Windows, Linux, and mobile devices. Manage user accounts and permissions within Active Directory, ensuring secure access control. Support IT infrastructure components such as VPNs, firewalls, DNS, TCP/IP protocols, LANs (Local Area Networks), and WANs (Wide Area Networks). Assist in equipment troubleshooting and repairs for desktops, laptops, routers, switches, and other peripherals. Respond promptly to technical support requests from end-users via help desk tickets while maintaining high customer service standards. Document incidents, resolutions, and maintenance activities accurately to facilitate ongoing support and analysis.

$82,000.00 - $88,000.00 per year
