Description Data Systems Analysts, Inc. has an opening for a Senior Network Administrator in Huntsville, AL. This role supports the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command by planning, configuring, maintaining, and securing complex network systems—including routers, switches, and encryption devices—ensuring compliance with DoD security standards and providing critical network support for mission operations at Redstone Arsenal. Required Qualifications Must have familiarity with and an understanding of how to use AI in the context of their job. Demonstrated expertise in planning, designing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex network systems (including routers, switches, encryption devices, and network cabling infrastructure). Proficiency in implementing and maintaining enterprise security architectures and ensuring compliance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). Experience with Wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Network (LAN) support, including evaluating topologies, installing hardware/software, and performing system testing. Strong documentation and configuration management skills, including maintaining accurate records and supporting configuration management processes. Required computing environment certifications and compliance with DoD 8140/8570 requirements for privileged network access. Should have at least 8-years experience performing Network Administration in DoD environments on mid-sized to major warfighter programs. Must hold current Security + Certification and relevant computing environment certifications to comply with DoD 8140/8570 requirements for privileged network access. Clearance Required Minimum of an active Secret security clearance. Desired Qualifications Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Army IT environments. Familiarity with virtualization, cloud computing, and Cisco networking technologies. Knowledge of Army Regulation (AR) 25-1 and
DA PAM 25-1-1
for IT operations. Experience with configuration management boards (CCB) and technical review boards (TRB). Additional certifications in network security, cloud, or advanced networking technologies. Key Responsibilities Plan, design, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network systems to ensure operational functionality, availability, and reliability. Implement and maintain network security measures, update critical devices, and ensure compliance with DoD and Army cybersecurity standards. Conduct network and systems performance analysis, identify problem areas, and recommend corrective actions. Maintain accurate documentation of network physical layers and support configuration management processes. Provide urgent circuit, network, and equipment troubleshooting, and support WAN/LAN expansion and optimization.
