This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician with experience inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining fire alarm systems in commercial and industrial environments. Position Overview The Fire Alarm Service Technician will be responsible for inspecting, testing, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing fire alarm systems while ensuring compliance with NFPA codes and safety regulations. This role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset. Key Responsibilities Conduct inspections and testing of fire alarm systems and components including control panels, detectors, horns, strobes, and annunciators Troubleshoot system malfunctions and perform repairs on wiring, circuitry, devices, and software Respond to service calls and emergency repair requests in a timely manner Perform preventative maintenance including cleaning, calibration, and battery replacement Prepare detailed inspection reports, service documentation, and deficiency notes Work closely with service coordinators and internal teams to optimize scheduling and job completion Communicate professionally with customers regarding system functionality, deficiencies, and recommended repairs or upgrades Ensure all work complies with NFPA 72 and applicable fire/life safety codes Maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment in proper working condition Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Prior experience servicing, maintaining, or repairing fire alarm systems in commercial or industrial settings Strong understanding of NFPA 72 and fire alarm codes/regulations NICET certifications strongly preferred State fire alarm licensing preferred or ability to obtain Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment Valid driver's license with clean driving record Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Comfortable working in commercial, industrial, and outdoor environments Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, lifts, and safety equipment Compensation & Benefits Direct hire opportunity Competitive compensation package $30-$40/HR DOE Medical, dental, and vision benefits PTO and retirement plan options Company-provided training, tools, and equipment Career advancement opportunities within a growing organization If you or someone in your network may be interested, please apply or reach out directly for additional information.
