Full Job Description Job Summary:
Meras Water Solutions is seeking a dedicated Industrial Service Technician to join our team in Bakersfield, CA . In this role, you will be the face of our service excellence, performing routine site visits to validate and optimize critical water treatment programs. Leveraging your technical expertise, you will conduct field testing, inspect complex systems, and troubleshoot issues to ensure peak operational efficiency for our clients. Your ability to bridge the gap between technical problem-solving and building strong customer relationships will be the key to your success and growth within our company.
Key Responsibilities:
System OptimizationTroubleshooting :
Diagnose and resolve complex water chemistry challenges to minimize downtime and maximize system performance for industrial boilers and cooling towers.
Technical Field Analysis :
Conduct precise water testing and analyses at diverse locations, including Industrial Sites, Medical Centers, and Commercial Buildings.
Client Relationship Management :
Serve as a trusted advisor to established accounts, fostering long-term partnerships and ensuring total customer satisfaction.
Operational Efficiency :
Monitor chemical treatment systems, calibrate precision equipment (sensors, probes, and pumps), and maintain peak energy and environmental efficiency.
GrowthSite Assessment :
Support the acquisition of new industrial business by performing comprehensive site assessments and providing technical program recommendations.
Hands-on Technical Support :
Troubleshoot basic on-site plumbing and electrical issues and assist with specialized equipment installations and projects.
Digital Documentation :
Utilize Salesforce to accurately record service data and maintain transparent, regular communication with clients.
SafetyCompliance :
Strictly adhere to all company and customer health, safety, and environmental protocols while maintaining a professional appearance with provided tools and vehicle.
InventoryLogistics :
Manage on-site chemical inventories and ensure all company assets are kept in top working condition.
Qualifications:
Excellent time management and organizational skills. Experience in HVAC, water treatment, chemicals, mechanical engineering preferred, not required. Minimum supervision required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact with customers and build relationships. General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repair. Proficient use of computers and computer programs such as: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Salesforce. Bachelor's degree preferred. Able/willing to obtain CWT and
ASSE 12080
certifications within the first year of employment. Possess a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record. Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check Physical Demands Occasionally required to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. Occasionally required to twist, stoop, crouch, kneel, reach, or grasp, and work in confined spaces as permitted. Occasionally required to climb stairs and ladders and work at high elevations for extended periods of time. Required to drive both short and long distances. Occasionally required to lift 50 pounds and maneuver drums weighing 250-550 pounds using proper lifting and moving strategies.
