Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Shall perform It related task under the supervision of the IT Manager and IT Director. Tasks will include computer hardware and software installation, maintenance, upgrades, back-ups, troubleshooting, and restorations of the clinical information systems including the Electronic Health Records (HER), or other respective systems. Responsible for a broad range of activities surrounding the implementation of a standardized integrated health care information system. Shall relay any tasks to the IT Manager and IT Director.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide quick and effective assistance with information technology systems. Guide customers remotely and in person through systems configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance. Listen attentively to customers questions and concerns and offer optimal solutions. Prioritize customer satisfaction in all communications, directing unresolved issues to next-level personnel. Work with desktop support engineers to provide customers with superior service. Assists employees with learning the various IHS GUI systems, Dentrix Dental Software, QS1, EHR Systems, IT Equipment, as well as Microsoft Office, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook or other similar information systems. Identifies personnel that may require more direct group or one-on-one training needs and works with the supervisors to schedule training times for personnel. Represent Toiyabe Indian Health project with professionalism and integrity while helping to advance our company mission. Participates by observing high-level communication among IT and Management regarding Clinical Software and Training. Participates with learning all information management efforts to provide integrity, security/confidentiality, and availability of TIHP data. Stays within HIPPA guidelines of practice Observes the IT manager or IT Director in making sure that patches and service packs are all current. Be familiar with the aims and objectives of the organization and express a genuine enthusiasm for its success. Identifies and works with the IT Manager and IT Director on cleaning of any identified IT offices and computer system areas as necessary for the security and restricted access.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
High School diploma or equivalent required. Required to achieve one or more IT Certificates such as A+, Network+, Security+ or Cisco Networking Basics upon hire. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, medical professionals, vendors and outside agencies in a professional manner that develops rapport and enhances business relationships. Must possess the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences for the purposes of explaining system processes and providing technical training in a clear and concise manner. Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies. Must possess strong organization and time management skills, as well as the ability to work in and independent and assume individual initiative. Must also be willing and able to accept supervision and to carry-out directives as assigned. Must be willing to understand the knowledge of current healthcare industry HIPPA Privacy Act Regulations and security requirements, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion and tact. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certified or obtain within three months of hire. Must be sensitive and possess an awareness and keen appreciation of Indian traditions, customs and socioeconomic needs of the Indian communities
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
Two (2) years of college-level coursework in computer science and/or information technology preferred; or two (2) years of college-level courses in a related field along with Bi-Lingual/Spanish Speaking

Ability to effectively use a computer screen and interpret printed materials, memos, and other appropriate paperwork. Lifting /

Ability to occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing no more than 50 pounds. Stooping /

Ability to access files/stock supplies in low cabinets and shelves. Reaching /
Handling:
Ability to input information into computer systems and retrieve and work with appropriate paperwork, equipment, and supplies. Use of standard office equipment, including computer, telephone, calculator, copiers, and fax. Work is performed in an office/clinic environment; continuous contact with other staff and the public.

Pay:
$42,430.00 - $55,160.00 per year
