We are seeking a Quality Specialist to provide administrative and quality system support within an aerospace manufacturing environment. This temp-to-hire role is responsible for reviewing customer contracts and purchase orders, verifying quality requirements, supporting internal audits, preparing certification packages, coordinating with source inspectors, maintaining quality records, and ensuring compliance with AS9100 and customer quality requirements. The ideal candidate will have aerospace quality experience, strong AS9100 knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting customer, supplier, and internal quality activities. The selected candidate will be responsible for: Reviewing customer contracts and purchase orders to verify quality requirements Supporting contract review activities to ensure all customer quality requirements are captured Reviewing manufacturing work orders and travelers to ensure quality requirements are included and accounted for Examining manufacturing travelers and completing required quality approvals Supporting shop traveler buyoff and quality documentation review Preparing customer certification packages for outgoing shipments Preparing certification packages for customer source inspections Coordinating with customer source inspectors and serving as a primary liaison during inspections Presenting parts and certification packages during customer source inspections Serving as a key point of contact for customer quality audits Supporting internal audits in accordance with AS9100 requirements Assisting with annual audit preparation and quality system audit support Maintaining supplier and vendor quality records and related documentation Managing issuance and control of quality inspection stamps Supporting calibrated tool documentation and related quality records Maintaining organized quality records to ensure accurate documentation and traceability Communicating professionally with customers, source inspectors, customer service, engineering, quality, coworkers, and management Knowing when to escalate quality or customer audit matters to leadership Supporting continuous improvement and quality system compliance Following company safety policies, attendance expectations, and code of conduct Performing other duties as assigned The selected candidate will also possess: 3 to 5+ years of aerospace quality assurance experience required Working knowledge of AS9100 quality management system requirements required Experience performing or supporting internal audits required Experience supporting customer audits preferred Experience reviewing customer purchase orders and contract requirements required Experience reviewing manufacturing travelers, work orders, and quality documentation required Experience preparing certification packages preferred Experience working with customer source inspectors preferred Aerospace manufacturing quality experience required Knowledge of customer quality requirements and quality system documentation Experience maintaining controlled records and traceability documentation Experience with supplier, vendor, calibrated tool, or inspection stamp records preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required ERP system experience required Strong organizational skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to create, maintain, store, and retrieve controlled quality records Ability to work independently after training Ability to learn quickly and follow established naming, documentation, filing, and recordkeeping processes Professional communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers, coworkers, source inspectors, and management Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Spanish language skills are a plus Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development Ability to work onsite in Burbank, CA Ability to work Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with some flexibility for 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM start times Ability to support a temp-to-hire opportunityPhysical Requirements:
Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods while reviewing customer purchase orders, contracts, travelers, work orders, certification packages, audit records, and quality documentation Ability to communicate by phone, email, and in person throughout the workday Ability to review detailed quality records, controlled documentation, customer requirements, ERP data, Microsoft Office files, and computer screens for extended periods Ability to use hands and fingers for typing, filing, scanning, documentation, recordkeeping, and standard office tasks Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout office, quality, inspection, and manufacturing areas as needed Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds Ability to support customer source inspections, audit activities, quality record reviews, and documentation preparation as needed Ability to work in an aerospace manufacturing environment while following company safety policies and quality procedures Ability to wear required personal protective equipment as needed when entering manufacturing or inspection areasSalary Range:
