The Irvine Unified School District (IUSD) is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Systems Administrator (Specialist I) to join our Network Services team . This is the entry-level role in our Systems Administrator career path—ideal for candidates with some systems administration experience or a strong background in technical support who are ready to grow into the field. As a key member of our 70+ person Technology Department, you'll contribute to the infrastructure and tools that power one of California's highest-performing school districts. What You'll Do In this role, you'llprovide front-line system administration support by resolving Tier 1 issues for staff and students through our Help Desk and other channels. Typical issues relate to user account setup, permissions management, and troubleshooting access to core district systems. This role alsoserves as a point of escalation for school site technicians by assisting with more complex device, device management, and account-related issues. You'll have the opportunity to learn and support a broad range of systems and assist with a variety of projects, including: Active Directory and Domain Controllers Office 365 / Microsoft Exchange Hyper-V virtualization Device Management Systems (Intune, SCCM) Security and Endpoint Protection Solutions Identity Management, Authentication and Automation Tools (Okta, PowerShell) Cloud and Hybrid Environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) You'll collaborate closely with experienced engineers and technicians, while receiving training, mentorship, and opportunities to expand your skills.
