The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service abilities, and experience working with CNC equipment. Key Responsibilities Install, commission, and configure CNC machines at customer sites. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues. Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled service on CNC equipment. Troubleshoot CNC controllers, servo systems, spindle systems, and machine components. Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals. Calibrate and test machines to ensure proper operation and accuracy. Provide customer training on machine operation, maintenance, and safety procedures. Document service calls, repairs performed, parts used, and recommendations. Coordinate with technical support and engineering teams to resolve complex issues. Maintain service vehicle, tools, and inventory of replacement parts. Travel to customer locations as required, including occasional overnight travel. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Qualifications Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or related field preferred. 3+ years of experience servicing CNC machines or industrial automation equipment. Strong knowledge of CNC controls (Fanuc, Heidenhain, Fagor or similar). Experience troubleshooting electrical systems up to 480V. Mechanical aptitude including bearings, ball screws, spindle assemblies, lubrication systems, and machine alignment. Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting is a plus. Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints. Strong computer skills and ability to complete electronic service reports. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in manufacturing environments. Preferred Skills Experience with CNC routers, machining centers, lathes, or laser equipment. Knowledge of G-code and machine programming. Precision alignment using dial indicators, laser alignment, and calibration equipment. Networking and industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.). Welding or fabrication experience is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces. Lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Travel up to 50% or as needed. Ability to work overtime or weekends when required to support customers.
