LOOKER ADMINISTRATOR

(SME)Hybrid in Denver, CO OR Philadelphia, PAContract through 12/31/26 with potential extensionsSenior level Looker Administrator with deep, hands-on expertise in a self-hosted Looker environment to support an Enterprise Analytics environment. This individual would serve as the in-house Looker expert who can hit the group running, mentor the team, and transfer knowledge. They will lead platform upgrades, support cloud infrastructure modernization, ensure successful data platform migrations, and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Responsibilities:

Administer and support enterprise Looker environments across development and productionLead Looker upgrades, patching activities, and version management initiativesModernize and maintain AWS EC2 infrastructure supporting the Looker platformManage LookML development workflows, GitHub repositories, and deployment processesTroubleshoot platform, performance, data modeling, connectivity, and user access issuesManage user provisioning, account administration, governance controls, and entitlement managementSupport identity and access management processes within the BI environmentEvaluate and implement platform performance enhancements, including caching improvementsSupport data migration initiatives and validate integration stability across analytical platformsLeverage Looker APIs to support advanced analytics and emerging AI-driven initiativesDevelop technical documentation, runbooks, and operational proceduresMentor team members and provide knowledge transfer on Looker administration and best practicesCollaborate with analytics, engineering, and platform teams to support ongoing operational needs
