This role provides comprehensive IT support for external clients, ensuring the smooth operation of infrastructure such as servers, desktops, networks, firewalls, and VOIP systems. Responsibilities include installing and configuring hardware and software, troubleshooting technical issues, managing user accounts, maintaining support documentation, and assisting with the implementation and evaluation of new technologies. The position also involves analyzing system data to identify trends and proactively address potential issues. The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver with solid technical expertise across various systems and applications, excellent communication and customer service skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to deadlines, adaptability, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure, including occasional overtime or weekend work as needed. Responsibilities Responsible for supporting both external clients IT infrastructure including but not limited to Servers, Desktops and Firewalls. Install and configure computer software, hardware, networks, and peripheral equipment Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues quickly and efficiently Provide steps to help internal and external users resolve technical problems Maintain technical support procedures and reports Analyze records and logs to spot underlying trends and potential issues Support the implementation of new solutions or applications Create accounts for new users and assist with password or login problems Test and evaluate new technology Provide insight into technical requirements Repair and replace equipment as necessary Deploy and maintain VOIP systems Professional Skills Communicates effectively and appropriately when dealing with other departments and/or personnel at levels up to President. Demonstrates the initiative and creativity for self-development within and outside of the company. Required to complete work within the defined time frames / deadlines. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Experience with a variety of software, hardware, and applications Strong analytical skills Exceptional computer skills and be able to demonstrate good writing skills. Strong customer service skills in solving technical issues Strong organizational, technical and interpersonal skills. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking Good communication skills are essential. Ability to work under pressure Position requires the ability to work both independently and within a team environment by maintaining flexibility to work overtime and weekends as the business requires. Physical Demands This position requires physical activity consistent with a construction or installation environment. The employee will spend more than two-thirds of their time standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, using hands to handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. Approximately one-third of the time may be spent walking and engaging in verbal communication or listening. Frequent lifting and moving of materials weighing between 25 and 50 pounds is required. Work Environment This role may involve travel to project sites and exposure to a variety of environmental conditions. These may include outdoor weather, proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery, and the use of hand tools or hardware. Employees may be subject to frequent heavy lifting and other physical demands typical of a construction or warehouse environment.
