About VPS VPS Tire Repairs, Inc. is a family-owned company with roots in the tire industry dating back to 1965. Based in Doral, Florida, we distribute tire repair supplies, automotive service equipment, tools, and garage equipment throughout the U.S., Latin America, and the Caribbean. We work with professional tire shops, automotive service centers, fleets, dealerships, and other commercial customers, providing not only equipment but also installation, technical support, maintenance, and training. VPS Tire Repairs is looking for an experienced Garage Equipment Service Technician to join our growing service team. This is a hands-on field position focused on installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining professional automotive and tire shop equipment throughout South Florida. What You'll Do Install, service, and repair tire changers, wheel balancers, alignment machines, vehicle lifts, air compressors, ADAS, TPMS, and related garage equipment Diagnose mechanical, electrical/electronic, pneumatic, and software-related issues Assemble, connect, calibrate, anchor, and test equipment Perform service calls at customer locations Provide basic equipment training and technical support to customers Assist with equipment assembly and repairs at our Doral service center Travel primarily throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach, with occasional travel elsewhere in Florida. What We're Looking For 3+ years of hands-on technical experience in garage equipment, automotive repair, industrial maintenance, equipment installation, HVAC, electrical, or a related field Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills Comfortable working with electrical/electronic systems and technical equipment Bilingual English/Spanish Valid Florida Driver's License and clean driving record Authorized to work in the U.S. Reliable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently Strong attention to detail and ability to learn and retain technical procedures Able to lift 50+ lbs. when required Garage equipment experience is highly preferred, but we are willing to train a strong technician with the right mechanical and electrical background. Compensation & Benefits $25.00-$33.00 per hour , based on relevant experience, technical skills, and ability to work independently. Typical hours 8:30 AM-5:00 PM Occasional after-hours installations or service may be required. Occasional Saturday work may be required. Some travel throughout Florida may be required depending on customer needs. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is more than a parts changer. The right technician is someone who enjoys understanding why a machine is not working , can troubleshoot step by step, remembers what they learn, works carefully, and takes pride in solving problems correctly. You should be comfortable working independently in front of customers while also knowing when to communicate with the team for additional technical support.
