This role is based on site in Fort Myers. The salary range for this position is $67,000.00 - $94,000.00 per year, with starting salary dependent upon experience, qualifications, and relevant background. Responsibilities Responsible for daily administration of the LCTC network/server environment along with project work. Installs, configures, and maintains system hardware/software. Monitor network performance, troubleshoots issues and deploys solutions. Plans and implements upgrades, patches, and installation of new applications and equipment. Ensure proper security controls in access, logging, and auditing. Create technical support documentation for systems and applications. Assist with developing a disaster recovery, security, back up, and restoration plan. Assist with evaluating new technologies to optimize network efficiency and performance. Accountable for configuring backups, configuring alerts and ensuring backups and alerts are working as designed. Participates in weekly on-call rotation for afterhours ITS support-related issues. Performs other duties as directed. Requirements Bachelor's degree with major course work in Computer Science and three years' work experience related to enterprise level computer system/network administration,management, or support; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience as determined by ITS Management. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows server operating systems and Microsoft Active Directory desired. Background check required. Valid Florida Driver's License required. May require after hours, weekend or emergency (natural disaster, major incident, etc.) support. Knowledge of Microsoft Server configuration (Server 2016 and 2019) and Microsoft Server patching and update processes desired. Preferred Skills Enterprise level Wi-Fi, Radius, LANS/WANS, Fiber, DNS, Active Directory, DHCP, TACACS, VPN, NetMotion, switches, monitoring/alerting applications. Expertise with Extreme Networks, Cisco IOS, Unified Computing System and Unified Communications, Imaging and Patching tools, Nutanix, Veritas Backup Exec, HYCU, Anti-Virus. ns. FLSA Status Description Work is performed independently under limited supervision with considerable latitude. Position typically requires processing and interpreting complex, less clearly defined issues.
Work Conditions Physical Ability:
Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and material of light to moderate weight (5-50 lbs.). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.
Sensory Requirements:
Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate visual cues or signals, and to communicate orally and in writing.
Environmental Factors:
Essential functions are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
