Prerequisites Valid driver's license US Citizen Reliable transportation Ability to pass an FDLE background check Ability to pass a drug test High school diploma or equivalent Punctuality Ability to lift 50lbs Ability to squat and crawl Ability to climb a ladder Ability to operate a scissor lift Electronic Systems to Include Government, Commercial, and Residential Intrusion Detection Access Control Video Surveillance Fire and Smoke Detection & Alarm Data and Network Computer Workstations Gated Access Control Mass Notification Job Responsibilities Design, install, program, troubleshoot, service, repair, and test all systems listed above Self-manage work responsibilities and lead execution of projects Integrate and customize electronic security systems Install, terminate, test, and label data & communications cabling Conduct site visits to assess system requirements, identify equipment and installation needs, and develop detailed proposals including parts, labor, and material costs. Prepare and submit estimates and scope documentation in coordination with project management and operations staff. Program and configure IP-based hardware Maintain knowledge of current industry technologies, standards, and best practices by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications Document service and installation work by populating reports, logs, and records Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints, identifying solutions, and recommending system improvements Experience Required 3+ years of electronic security systems implementation 3+ years of data network installation and implementation 3+ years of fire system installation and implementation Experience Preferred 5+ years of electronic security systems implementation 5+ years of data network installation and implementation 5+ years of fire system installation and implementation FASA/BASA or Certified Alarm Technician Level I certification Proficiency in Bosch, Identiv, Honeywell, Axis, and Fire-Lite security and life safety systems and products Installation of Cat6, fiber optic, SIPR, and NIPR cabling UL2050, FIPS, FICAM, and government security experience Advanced troubleshooting of computer workstations, networks, and servers Education Preferred College-level math and verbal & written communication skills Suitable and Related Experience and Certification ASE, NICET, ASIS, NFPA, UL, certifications Related military service or government employee experience Applicable electrical or mechanical certifications/experience 8+ years of automotive and electrical systems service, troubleshooting, and repair Benefits Paid time off Professional development assistance Tuition reimbursement Paid holidays Flexible schedule Company vehicle for business use for qualified employees Compensation Negotiable with upward mobility based on experience and suitability for position and opportunity
