Job Description

Seeking a C2 Systems Administrator to support Department of Defense (DoD) Command and Control (C2) systems in a secure, mission-critical environment. This role is responsible for administering, maintaining, and securing systems that enable joint air-ground operations, while ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity and operational standards. This position requires a motivated professional with strong systems administration experience, a commitment to security compliance, and the ability to work in a team-oriented, high-trust environment. Key Responsibilities Perform systems administration for DoD Command and Control systems using established practices and procedures Install, configure, and maintain software, including upgrades, patches, and IAVAs Monitor and analyze system logs to proactively identify and resolve potential issues Conduct troubleshooting and fault isolation for system and network issues Execute system backups, database archiving, and data/media recovery operations Apply DISA STIGs to secure systems and ensure compliance with DoD policies Maintain accurate documentation, including configuration checklists and system history Support and maintain a DoD training lab environment and configuration-managed workstations Assist with access control management in accordance with military policies and directives Provide guidance and training to junior personnel Required Qualifications Active U.S. Secret Clearance DoD 8140.03 IAT Level II (Intermediate) certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months) Ability to obtain and maintain CompTIA Security+ certification Experience administering: Windows 10 (or newer) workstations Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 (or newer) Experience with: Security patching and IAVA implementation System log analysis and troubleshooting Backup and recovery operations
