Job Description
ITonDemand , a Division of Tectonic LLC, is looking for an IT Systems Administrator to join our Managed Services Support Team. This position is based in our Ocala FL office though work is often conducted at customer sites; hybrid schedule 3 days in office, 2 days remote. Employment is contingent on successful completion of a background check. Role Summary The System Administrator II is a non-exempt, mid-level IT role responsible for providing high-level technical support, managing diverse IT environments, and contributing to IT support process improvements. This position involves resolving escalated tickets, maintaining infrastructure, and collaborating on IT projects to ensure seamless operations. With a strong emphasis on advanced troubleshooting, system administration, and network configuration, the role supports both the team and customer growth. Key Responsibilities Provide advanced technical support and serve as the escalation point for Level 1 technicians. Respond to and resolve customer support escalation tickets promptly, ensuring thorough documentation of solutions. Provide remote and on-site support for a range of issues, including desktop configuration, network troubleshooting, and system maintenance. Manage and troubleshoot Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file servers, and print servers. Administer and troubleshoot Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams. Support and configure DHCP and DNS services across the network. Deploy and maintain virtual machines using VMware or Hyper-V platforms. Assist with network management, including switches, access points, firewalls, wireless setup/troubleshooting, and VLAN management. Actively participate in the development and maintenance of IT support processes. Contribute to documentation of IT systems, policies, and procedures. Provide input and support for IT projects, such as system migrations or deployments. Participate in the on-call rotation to address urgent technical issues and minimize customer downtime. Skills and Qualifications 3+ years of experience in system administration or IT support. Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Office 365 platforms. Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). Proficient in troubleshooting network issues, including VLANs, DNS, and DHCP. Previous experience with ticketing systems such as ConnectWise, Jira, etc. Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and insurance coverage. CompTIA A+ or equivalent certification is a plus.
