Full Job Description Job Summary:
The IT & NetSuite Systems Administrator is the in-house owner of BioSafe Solutions' day-to-day information technology environment and an internal technical resource for NetSuite and related business systems. This position supports company-owned laptops, users, network connectivity, printers, security, software, shipping applications, and other IT systems, excluding the phone system unless otherwise assigned. The role also serves as BioSafe's primary internal point of contact for contracted developers and technical specialists, coordinating requirements, access, testing, documentation, deployment, support, and ongoing maintenance based on each contractor's specialty. Over time, this position is expected to build increasing ownership of NetSuite development, scripting, workflows, integrations, and system enhancements, while specialized contractor-owned components such as endpoints, robotic activity, or other business-critical tools may remain with the appropriate external resource. The successful candidate combines hands-on IT support, NetSuite technical knowledge, programming ability, disciplined change management, and a service-oriented mindset.
Education/Training/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Development, or a related field preferred; equivalent education, certifications, and directly applicable experience may be considered. Minimum 3 years of hands-on business IT support experience, including users, laptops, software, networks, printers, and security. Minimum 2 years of NetSuite administration, development support, or technical consulting experience in a production environment. Experience with UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager in a business shipping environment. Experience working with third-party developers, managed service providers, software vendors, and business users to resolve issues and implement system changes.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Working knowledge of Windows laptops, Microsoft 365, user accounts, permissions, endpoint security, backups, printers, peripherals, and general hardware/software troubleshooting. Working knowledge of business networks, including wired and wireless connectivity, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, switches, and basic network troubleshooting. concepts, authentication, JSON/XML, integration records, error handling, and troubleshooting data flow between NetSuite and external systems. Ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements, test cases, documentation, and support procedures. Key Accountabilities:
Serve as the first point of contact and accountable in-house owner for day-to-day IT issues affecting BioSafe employees, company-owned laptops, network connectivity, printers, peripherals, shared resources, shipping workstations, and approved business software. Set up, configure, maintain, patch, inventory, and retire company-owned computers, software, licenses, user accounts, permissions, and related equipment in accordance with BioSafe standards and security practices. Monitor and support BioSafe's network and IT environment, including connectivity, access, backups, endpoint security, vendor coordination, and documentation of configurations, recurring issues, warranties, and support procedures. Support and maintain UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager, including workstation connectivity, printers, updates, user configuration, integrations, and troubleshooting that affects shipping operations. Act as BioSafe's internal technical owner for NetSuite administration and user support, including roles, permissions, saved searches, dashboards, forms, workflows, templates, imports, integrations, scripts, and system issues. Serve as BioSafe's internal liaison to contracted developers and technical specialists by coordinating requirements, sample data, process context, access, testing, feedback, approvals, deployment support, and post-handoff maintenance. Own testing and validation for NetSuite enhancements and other technical solutions, including test cases, Sandbox testing when appropriate, defect documentation, retesting, regression testing, business approval, and release readiness. Maintain and gradually expand ownership of completed customizations, scripts, workflows, integrations, Advanced

Templates, and other supportable solutions, while appropriately escalating specialized or contractor-owned components such as endpoints or robotic activity. Monitor integrations, scheduled processes, workflows, and recurring system activity; troubleshoot failures, data discrepancies, performance issues, and user-reported problems; resolve directly when appropriate or escalate with complete diagnostic information. Maintain disciplined change management and documentation, including requirements, testing evidence, approvals, deployment notes, rollback considerations, change logs, user guides, system maps, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides. Train and support employees on NetSuite, shipping applications, security practices, and assigned systems while identifying practical improvements that increase reliability, security, efficiency, data quality, and the user/customer experience. Performance Accountability:
IT and NetSuite support requests are acknowledged, prioritized, communicated, and driven to timely resolution with minimal disruption to employees and customers. System changes are tested against documented requirements before release, defects are clearly communicated, and approved solutions are maintainable after contractor handoff. Critical systems, devices, access records, licenses, integrations, customizations, and support documentation remain accurate, current, and organized. Recurring issues are identified and addressed at the root cause whenever practical, and access or technical changes follow appropriate security, confidentiality, testing, approval, and change-control practices. The position steadily builds BioSafe's internal technical capability while continuing to use contracted developers and outside IT specialists for specialized, contractor-owned, or business-critical components when appropriate.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Frequent use of a keyboard, mouse, monitors, and other computer equipment. Ability to move throughout office and operational areas to troubleshoot computers, printers, network connections, shipping workstations, and related equipment. Must be able to lift, carry, and position computer equipment and peripherals weighing up to 35 pounds at times. Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, or work in limited-access areas occasionally when connecting or troubleshooting equipment.
